Merry Christmas Friends! Can you believe we're only a few days away? The anticipation is actually my favorite part… evenings on the couch watching the glow of the tree, piled on the sofa with the dogs and watching Christmas movies! But nothing beats the peacefulness of our Christmas Eve night dinner with the family and the anticipation for Christmas morning. It really is such a special time of year.
Besides that we're a little bummed that it won't be having a white Christmas this year, it's been pretty dry here these last couple of months besides a couple of showers here and there and our last snow fall was the day after Thanksgiving. A completely different weather forecast in comparison to this time last year. Not mad because snow comes with its challenges but just a little bummed. Truth is we have another 3-4 months of winter here in Utah, therefore we'll be seeing plenty of white snow in the months to come, so there's that.
But moving onto our little SJL Christmas | Home Tour 2023, I’ll let the overload of photos do most of the talking… so pour yourself some hot cocoa and stay a while. I’ve tried to link as many items below at the end of this post as possible, but let me know in the comments if there's something you want more details on.
This year Christmas details were inspired by none other than Stoffer Home. I loved how simple yet elegant their color palette and inspiration was this year. Not to mention it's their first Christmas collection and exceptional. A lot of the items they shared from their collection, coicidently were very similar to some of the Christmas decorations I've collected over the years.
I did however buy the Frayed Edge Velvet Trim and satin ribbon from Hobby Lobby and Amazon this year. The dusty blue or light blue color ribbon they chose caught my eye and called to me this year. And I have no regret in going with it. Normally I'm afraid to go outside the box or the non-traditional route but this year this color scheme just felt right. Not to mention last year I purchased handmade stockings with the same color from Etsy. So it only seemed ideal to choose the dusty blue.
Though the details are minimal I'm happy with the small yet beautiful impact this color and the greenery makes around our home.
